This is an example of a blog-style website that will appeal to those you are not retail sellers or business-oriented. Perhaps you are an information-and-referral organization, or you travel and wish to blog about your experiences as part of your job.

You can do many different things with this type of site; however if you wish to have an e-commerce website, or you need a community/social networking site, this approach would not be suitable. Instead, I would recommend other designs that will better accommodate your needs.

These days it seems everybody's blogging, right? And many people know they can set up a blog free at WordPress.com or blogger.com.  It's cheap - free, even.  There's something different about the blog I am writing.  It's mine - it has custom features that I added - it's MY blog, on MY domain - those features can't be added to your free blog at WordPress or Blogger. That's the nice thing about having a custom site: it's unique to YOU.

There are many different features I can add, like a events calendar, photo gallery, even a video clip sidebar so people can watch video clips that you uploaded to Google or YouTube.  You can set an RSS feed, or people can subscribe to be notified whenever you post something new. All you have to do is log in and write something, whenever you want, and your visitors will see a site that is unique, just like you are.
